As part of a multi-million euro investment in new plant and equipment, Abrel are pleased to announce the installation of a new AOI system from Cyberoptics.
The 3D vision inspection system will greatly enhance the inspection process for the board assembly line in Abrel, and will improve the quality of the assembled boards by reducing the need for manual inspection.
The system provides an all-in-one solution that’s loaded with powerful tools that cover inspection and measurement for Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), Solder Paste Inspection (SPI) and coordinate measurement (CMM) applications.
It will facilitate inspection of boards up to 710mm x 610mm in size, which will accommodate the large panel sizes specific to Burn-in boards.
The AOI is the latest piece of equipment to be installed in Abrel’s Production facility, complementing the new investments in Pick and Place, Reflow, Automatic Stencil and Solder Wave equipment.
