It is great to have good neighbours and we were delighted to learn about the new facilities being developed by Analog Devices right next door to Abrel, here in Raheen Business Park, Limerick, Ireland.
Analog Devices is a leading semiconductor supplier, and the announcement outlines a significant investment of €630 million into the facility, creating a centre of excellence in Semiconductor R&D and Manufacturing. It is excellent news for Limerick, with 600 new positions to be created in Raheen, on top of the 1,500 employees it already has in Ireland. Importantly, it also puts Ireland at the very centre of developments in the Semiconductor sector globally. This is Abrel’s target market for its advanced burn-in solutions, which play an essential part in the qualification of all semiconductor devices.
Abrel has partnered with Analog Devices over many years. Here is what John Keane, Quality Systems and Hardware Development Manager at Analog Devices had to say about us recently.
“Abrel is a long-term, proven, and trusted supplier of burn-in solutions to ADI. Abrel continues to offer us quality products and services, from the design and development of burn-In boards and test probes to full-turnkey burn-In and bespoke reliability systems. We look forward to continuing our close partnership with Abrel, to ensure delivery of robust solutions, that support our ever-challenging and diverse reliability and burn-In test requirements.”
So, we are particularly delighted to hear about this expansion, and we wish Analog every success in the years to come.
