It’s hard to believe that for over 23 years now we’ve been producing Burn-in Boards, Burn-in Test Systems, BIB Racks and Burn-in Accessories. We’ve met and worked with some fantastic people along the way. We couldn’t have stayed in business and grown sales without our committed team and we are incredibly lucky to have the best of the best working with us here in Limerick. It’s amazing that many of our people have been with us since the beginning – so it was high time that we took time out for a little trip, as a way of saying thank you!
Part of the Abrel Family
Although our natural instinct is to be low-key and this is reflected in the company culture, of course it’s important to acknowledge how vital the team is to the business. In fact, it’s true to say that when you work with a tight-knit team year on year, we are like a second family for each other, working shoulder to shoulder to meet the needs of our clients. Like any business it’s not always plain sailing but when the going gets tough, it’s amazing to see that everybody pulls together – to get the work over the line and out the door.
Without a doubt we’re are lucky have employees that are the most knowledgeable people in their respected fields and it’s our employees that sets us apart from our competitors. We try hard to nurture the natural talents of the team and to let their abilities shine through and we are consistently impressed at how well our team performs.
On the Banks of the Shannon
Abrel is located in one of the most picturesque parts of Ireland (if you’re in the business and local to Limerick, we’d be happy to show you around!). The company celebrated our Long Service Awards with a spectacular boat trip on the River Shannon, followed by a presentation of awards. The evening was rounded with off with a delicious barbecue and music on the banks of the river. As you can see from the photo it was a typically sunny Irish day!
Presentations were made to a number of employees in recognition of long service to the company:
- 7 employees were recognised for over 20 years service
- 4 for 15 years
- 3 for 10 years
- 7 for over 5 years’ service
That’s a serious amount of knowledge if you combine all the year’s.
Paul Comerford, co-founder and Director, presented the awards and thanked all the employees for their dedication and commitment to the company. He gave a special mention to a number of employees who have been with the company since its foundation in 1994.
